Thanks Steven! Yes, that’s a big part of the hook for Liar, Liar, but I should have clarified that it was more than just being unable to lie. He is unable to lie for 24 hours…during the biggest case of his career and because his own son made the wish for him to never lie. So we can look at a hook as more than just plot. It very much includes character motivations and goals.
