Short Story Time - Episode 2 - Oak Hollow

A Short Story About Memories and Our Difficulty with Letting Go

2

Hi everyone! A new episode of Short Story Time for you, and I’m especially happy (and a little bit proud) of this episode. It’s a “tug at the heart-strings” story about living in a memory, and how those memories can come and go so easily. More to come here, and if you would like to submit your own short story, please join the ISA’s new ISAConnect Community. The only way to do so is if you’re a Free or paid Connect member of the ISA. If you’re already a member of the ISA, you can go to your dashboard and you’ll see a big blue button on the right. That will bring you into their new social community platform.

As a disclaimer, yes I used AI to help put together the visuals for this story. I do not, though, advocate the heavy and extreme use of AI in the full productions of film and TV. The usage here is not for financial gain, but instead to help showcase the power of storytelling, and the talent that our membership base of writers has…which will be on full display as we open up the submission process for consideration and highlight. If you have questions or concerns of any kind, I’m happy to discuss. I will never attempt to convince someone to use AI if they are whole-heartedly against it. I completely understand.

Just a reminder…

ISA Connect - sign up now for $10/month before their monthly membership dues go up! They’re raising their prices very soon, so jump in now.

ISA Connect offers so many resources and opportunities for writers and creatives of all kinds, and with our new ISA Connect Community on Circle, the ISA has its very own social media platform and network. It’s such a fun way to get connected to fellow writers AND watch all of the educational videos that I’ve created for the ISA over the years. I’m also launching a new video interview series and podcast with them where I will be interviewing industry insiders from consultants to producers and fellow writers. Lots happening over at the ISA, and our community just continues to grow and grow.

Writing short stories is such a fabulous way to help us stay in touch with our creative side, our writing talents, and to give us a breather fro so much focus on our big feature or Series projects. Plus, who knows? Maybe one of the short stories you write ends up as a longer form Series or movie, or even just a scene in one of your scripts. It’s a really fun exercise.

So…on to the show! This episode is titled “Oak Hollow”. I hope you enjoy it, and there will be more to come.
